The North East Georgia Amateur Radio Club - NEGARC

The Northeast Georgia Amateur Radio Club serves amateur radio operators and radio enthusiasts in the Banks, Jackson and all the surrounding counties within the Northeast Georgia area.  Our members prepare for disaster communications support in times of emergency through our local ARES and Skywarn efforts. We participate in drills such as Field Day to practice our radio skills, and enjoy fine programs and fellowship at our monthly meetings.  Please feel free to drop in at our monthly meetings or to check in to our weekly nets. An Invitation to All

The Northeast Georgia Amateur Radio Club monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Commerce Public Library.  Everyone is invited to attend and membership is not required to participate. Field Day 2008

The Northeast Georgia ARC and the Athens ARC are joining forces this year for the 2008 Annual ARRL Field Day located at the Nicholson city park in Nicholson Georgia. Everyone is more then welcome to come on down and have some fun in the sun during the day and bask under the stars at night. The party begins Saturday June 28th at 7:00 AM at the park for Field Day setup. Field Day on air activities start Saturday at 2:00 PM and run till Sunday at 2:00 PM. The party will end when the all of the equipment is packed away and the last piece of trash is discarded on Sunday June 29th. For directions Click Here and enter NE4GA in the search box. Field Day 2007

The NEGARC held it's 2007 field day at the Berea Community Center.  While band conditions were not the best,  quite a number of people (most under 18 years old) were able to make their very first HF contact. Many of these people stayed on to make up to 60 additional contacts.  The club had many good moments and we hope you can join us in 2008..
